Utility - catalina kitchen (Part Time)

About the role

You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. The utility person combines the roles of Food Expeditor, Food and Beverage Busser, and Barback, supporting the serving staff, ensuring prompt service, and overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of the buffet areas of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Wash and polish glassware, clear plates and glassware, wipe tables, prepare garnishes, and change keg beers.
• Communicate orders and information between the front of house and back of house to ensure food is cooked in the right order, quickly, and presented beautifully.
• Ensure orders are cooked in a timely fashion so all items for a table are ready simultaneously and deliver food to tables while it’s warm.
• Proactively clear tableware, napkins, and refuse from tables to maintain restaurant cleanliness.
• Wipe down tables and chairs, clear debris from the floor, and reset tables promptly.
• Monitor dining room activity and collaborate with team members to address special needs or guest requests.
• Take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create guest loyalty.
• Assist and support servers to ensure prompt service and guest satisfaction.

• Must be able to speak and comprehend English.
• Ability to implement and uphold service standards.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
• Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.

Experience, Education, & Licensure

• Must have a valid Food Handlers Card/Certificate.
• High School diploma preferred.

Pay

Base Pay Start Rate: $17.59/Hr.
