Responsibilities

• Reclaiming damaged pallets, unloading and loading trucks, assisting with loading railcars, placing dunnage, etc.
• Assisting with changing screens, cleaning elevators, cleaning out pipes, etc.
• Reclaiming damaged pallets, stacking, bailing, sewing, etc.
• Operating equipment such as bobcat, front-end loader, sweeper, forklift and road sweeper to move debris, waste receptacles, pallets, and other materials on the plant grounds.
• Performing general clean-up using manual equipment such as shovels, brooms, mops, fire hoses and floor jacks.
• Performing pre-operational equipment checks and monitoring performance and gauges during operation.
• Following all safety rules and regulations.
• Keeping all areas clean and free of clutter.

Qualifications

• Must meet assessment requirements.
• Must pass basic computer skills assessment.
• (Powders only)
• Must be able to read, comprehend, and act on product specifications, SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), PWI (Process Work Instructions), AIQ processes, and similar documents.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with team leader, shipping/receiving clerks, scheduler, supervisors, customers, drivers, etc.
• Must satisfy the spirit of WE CARE.
• Must be able to sit on required equipment throughout shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
• Bending reaching, twisting, stooping, walking and climbing stairways and ladders frequently.
• Good sight and hearing to avoid hazard.
• Must be able to function in the required role while wearing appropriate PPE including, but not limited to: Safety glasses, hearing protection, dust mask, protective coveralls, and pother as may be required by a hot/cold, dusty, loud industrial environment.
