About the Role
Under the supervision of a Team Leader, this position is responsible for the efficient inspection, trimming of potatoes/fries, halving potatoes, reworking of restricted product, frozen inspection, and bag inspection. Responsibilities will vary depending on rotation and assignments from the Team Leader. Perform all AMD activities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and trim rot, skin, and other defects from potatoes.
- Inspect and remove foreign material (FM).
- Sort out unpeeled potatoes.
- Remove defects from frozen inspection as directed by a Team Leader.
- Pull and clean screens when the line is down.
- Build and tear down totes as required.
- Perform rework when the line is down or as needed.
- Inspect bags for proper seals and verify bag codes.
- Shut down baggers if there is an issue with the bags.
- Clean during breaks in line flow.
- Recoup cases as needed.
- Check all shadow boards in the area.
- Attend 2 Daily Risk Assessment meetings per day.
- Understand and follow Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Follow all plant and job-specific safety duties.
- Maintain good personal hygiene.
- Work weekend cleanups as assigned.
- Keep all tools and equipment in their assigned locations.
- Assist in training newer employees as directed by supervisory staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively and understand verbal and written instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Understanding of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to move up and down stairs throughout the shift.

Pay
In compliance with applicable state and local laws, Lamb Weston has included a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including work location, job duties, experience, and expertise. The hourly pay rate for this role is $16.57.
