About the role

This position supports plant operations by maintaining equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and assisting with pellet mill operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Blow off dryer rotary unions, oil skids, and duct work for the production lines
• Operate forklifts as needed to maintain the work area
• Clean up sawdust using brooms and shovels
• Assist with pellet mill operations when additional support is required
• Check and dump hoppers throughout the facility
• Maintain fire boxes and extinguishers for assigned lines
• Keep the plant clean and operationally ready
• Communicate equipment deficiencies to team members and management
• Follow written and verbal instructions with meticulous attention to detail
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal codes and regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• One year of in-plant manufacturing experience
• Must complete written and field training for loader operation
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, shovel, rake, and perform other physical tasks required to maintain a clean and safe work area
• Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work outdoors, on rotating shifts, and lift up to 50 pounds
