About the Role

Utilities perform a variety of tasks within a manufacturing environment. This is a union general labor position where employees will rotate through various positions such as housekeeping, box makers, labeling, and scrapping.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors
• Pack different products into relevant areas
• Run errands, pick up supplies and materials
• Report to the supervisor on any anomalies in the packaging plant
• Clean up after work or in case of any spills
• Perform any other job-related tasks as issued
• Attend monthly training about safety, operations, and food quality
• Transfer supplies received to their appropriate storage location

Requirements

• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be comfortable climbing up ladders and working at elevated levels
• Positive attitude and work ethic
• Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks
• High school degree or equivalent educational experience
• Ability to work any shift, including long hours, rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Must meet hiring eligibility requirements including background investigation and drug screen
• Must wear all required personal protective equipment
