About the role
The location in Cross City, Florida, is seeking talent to fill the position of Utility. This job is full-time permanent.
Responsibilities
- Accurately identify, tally, tag, placard and barcode all lumber units, as production orders require.
- Communicate production order requirements to Lumber Pullers and others as required.
- Comprehend and follow all production orders according to written and/or verbal requirements.
- Demonstrate ability to piece tally lumber units as needed.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills.
- Demonstrate basic math skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of lumber grades, southern yellow pine, all grade marks, sizes: lengths, widths, and thickness.
- Demonstrate knowledge of quality standards for lumber; communicate problems to supervisor and co-workers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of RLS computer inventory system.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures as required.
- Keep work area clean and free of hazards.
- Use all personal safety gear or equipment as required.
- Must have ability to work a 10-hour shift.
- Must be able to work around moving equipment.
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
