Utility Associate - 1st Shift

Job Summary

National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Utility Worker. The Utility Associate oversees assigned lines, minimizes rejects by checking pipe during and after the finishing process, and runs any necessary equipment. There is a $1000 sign-on bonus for this position with the first $500 paid after the first 3 months of continuous employment and another $500 paid after 6 months of continuous employment.

Responsibilities

• Keeps area clean at all times
• Inspects pipe left on carts by the previous shift
• Assists Machine Tender during string up process
• Reworks pipe
• Prebands bundles and put in center bands
• Recycles steel-banding scraps
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors and colleagues
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay

The hourly pay rate is $18.50/hr.
