Utility Associate - 1st Shift

About the role
National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is seeking a Utility Worker. The Utility Associate oversees assigned lines, minimizes rejects by checking pipe during and after the finishing process, and runs any necessary equipment. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available, with $500 paid after the first 3 months of continuous employment and another $500 after 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Keeps area clean at all times
- Inspects pipe left on carts by the previous shift
- Assists Machine Tender during string-up process
- Reworks pipe
- Pre-bands bundles and puts in center bands
- Recycles steel-banding scraps
- Performs other duties related to the nature of the job as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors and colleagues
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Pay
The hourly pay rate is $18.50/hr with bonus opportunities.
