We are seeking a qualified Utility for our 2nd shift operations in Whitmire, SC. The Utility position performs a range of support functions, including operation of weigh scales, yard housekeeping, assisting quality control, shipping, and inventory management. Duties may vary by assignment and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Operation of weigh scales
- Yard housekeeping
- Assisting quality control
- Shipping and inventory management
- Defect identification per ANSI standards
- Ability to class an unframed pole
- Pole species identification
- Sort material to meet customer specifications
- Clear understanding of pole identification practices (butt and top markings, tags, and branding)
- Solid understanding of Work Order documentation requirements
- Read and interpret framing prints and select required
