User Interface Designer

About the role

We are seeking experienced Product Designers, Design Leads, and AI-assisted development professionals to contribute their expertise to projects focused on evaluating and improving next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will design realistic product development and design scenarios, create reference outputs, and develop evaluation rubrics that reflect how experienced product builders and designers approach complex problems. This opportunity is ideal for senior professionals who have shipped real-world products, design systems, or AI-assisted development workflows and can translate their practical expertise into structured evaluation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic scenarios covering rapid prototyping, product iteration, design system development, and collaboration between product, design, and engineering teams.
• Develop tasks related to AI-assisted application development, natural-language-to-code workflows, and rapid prototyping.
• Create UX/UI design tasks involving design systems, component libraries, user research, usability testing, and interaction design.
• Develop scenarios using tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, v0, Replit, Figma, Framer, and other modern development or design platforms.
• Apply iterative, prompt-driven development methodologies to AI-assisted development scenarios.
• Apply human-centered design principles, usability heuristics, and research methodologies to product design tasks.
• Produce reference deliverables such as working prototypes, code artifacts, design specifications, component documentation, and usability evaluation reports.
• Develop detailed evaluation rubrics that distinguish authentic senior-level product and design judgment from generic, template-driven, or tutorial-level responses.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for usability, technical quality, design consistency, reasoning, and alignment with project requirements.
• Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure evaluation criteria are accurate, consistent, and representative of real-world practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, Design Lead, Product Engineer, AI-native Engineer, or similar role.
• Experience working at product-focused, design-driven, technology companies, startups, or as an independent product builder.
• Direct ownership of production-shipped product designs, design systems, component libraries, or AI-assisted development workflows.
• Strong proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Framer, or similar platforms.
• Experience using AI coding assistants or natural-language development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, v0, Replit, or comparable solutions.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, usability, prototyping, design systems, and rapid product iteration.
• Ability to evaluate product decisions from both user experience and technical implementation perspectives.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating shipped product or design work is strongly preferred over formal credentials.
• Previous experience developing rubrics, training materials, design critiques, evaluation frameworks, or educational content is a plus.
