About the role

Epic is seeking a UX Designer to lead experience and visual design for several development teams. The ideal candidate will work closely with users to understand their needs, conduct research on workflows, and collaborate with developers to create intuitive and visually appealing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with end-users to gather insights and requirements
  • Conduct user research to inform design decisions
  • Observe applications in use to identify pain points and opportunities
  • Work with developers to translate designs into functional applications
  • Create sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in a related field
  • Experience or education in user-centered design techniques
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user experience and visual design skills

Qualifications

  • Ability to relocate to Madison, WI
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and user experience design principles

Skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with user research methods and usability testing
  • Understanding of information architecture and interaction design
