Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate the used vehicle sales team to achieve monthly sales and profitability goals.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the used car department.
- Work closely with the General Manager to maximize inventory turn and gross profit.
- Oversee the used vehicle inventory process from acquisition through retail delivery.
- Ensure vehicles move efficiently through reconditioning, detailing, merchandising, and front-line readiness.
- Manage the detailing department and monitor vehicle appearance standards.
- Cook up inventory photography, online merchandising, and vehicle descriptions to ensure listings are accurate, attractive, and timely.
- Maintain compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer standards.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive sales management experience required.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Experience managing used vehicle inventory and merchandising.
- Knowledge of inventory management, reconditioning, and dealership operations.
- Experience with DriveCentric CRM is highly preferred.
- Experience with the Ford Experience and Ford dealership operations is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
