(USA) Tire & Battery Technician - Automotive

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will provide safe and efficient service in both sales and service areas, delivering value to members while collaborating with associates to meet expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, and service standards
  • Operate equipment and understand TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems)
  • Apply product specifications and seasonality knowledge
  • Utilize Point of Sale systems and selling techniques (phone and in-person)
• Be a Techie
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve service experience, and elevate associate engagement
  • Use handheld technology and systems for immediate business decisions (e.g., services, safety alerts, product info, training)
  • Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them
• Be an Owner
  • Communicate equipment, tools, and supply needs to TBC Lead
  • Track and monitor returns and special orders
  • Operate cash registers and process transactions
  • Maintain accurate inventory, audit safety, and compliance standards
  • Report TBC complaints, safety hazards, and product/service issues
  • Complete required paperwork, logs, and documentation
  • Ensure merchandise is packaged, labeled, and stored per company policies
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve concerns

Requirements

• Valid state-issued driver’s license
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period

Preferred Qualifications

• Auto service industry experience
• Retail experience

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply (ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour) based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
