(USA) Tire and Battery Center Team Leader
About the role
As a Tire and Battery Center Services Lead, you will drive member service in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver safe and efficient services. You will model expertise in Tire and Battery Center and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
Responsibilities
- Be a Team Leader: Supervise the team within the Tire and Battery Center to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club. Communicate department goals, set guidelines and expectations for tire and battery service, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for members, associates, and the company.
- Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of business operations, safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), tire recalls, product specifications, and seasonality. Share knowledge, train the team, and ensure they are equipped with the latest product and technology information. Leverage learning resources and attend training conferences to drive continuous improvement.
- Be a Techie: Utilize digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application, and training. Be an early adopter of new tools and encourage their use.
- Be an Owner: Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, and maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area. Proactively plan, order equipment, tools, and supplies while managing expenses. Track and monitor returns and special orders, assist in staffing and scheduling, operate cash registers, and process transactions. Maintain accurate inventory, audit safety and compliance standards, complete required documentation, and model a commitment to member service.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Train and develop the team to be highly effective, monitor completion of e-learnings and trainings, and identify potential in associates. Provide necessary skills development to deliver high-quality services. Encourage career growth, source new talent internally and externally, and implement processes to meet business needs through collaboration and analysis.

Requirements
- 6 months of supervisory experience or 6 months of experience in the automotive industry.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory experience.
- Tire Industry experience or certification.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, such as based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
