(USA) Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance

Walmart is expanding its workforce and seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. This role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart stores, equipment, or fixtures under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and hand/power tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders supporting stores and associates.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required safety training to operate equipment and tools.

Requirements

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
• Comfortable working at heights and moving up/down ladders frequently.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods and work in various temperatures.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year of experience, or 2 years of total work experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience, or 5 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade (minimum qualification).
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
• Intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply (ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour) based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
