Position Summary

The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT, manages exterior facility operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role involves operating heavy machinery, managing budgets, leading third-party providers, and maintaining equipment and vehicles.

What you'll do

  • Operate and maintain facility exterior equipment, including heavy machinery and vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.

  • Perform seasonal exterior maintenance such as snow and ice management, landscaping, and cleaning to maintain safe and presentable facilities.

  • Manage budgets by preparing cost estimates, approving purchases, and controlling expenses related to parts, equipment, and travel.

  • Lead and coach third-party providers and associates, conducting performance evaluations and fostering professional development.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns, ensuring quality service and adherence to company policies and standards.

  • Conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions to maintain a secure work environment.

What you'll bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age or older.

  • Valid state-issued driver’s license.

  • No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.

  • No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.

  • No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.

  • No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.

  • Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre-hire.

  • Ability to read and speak in the English language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and be able to maintain a minimum of a 90 day Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC) card.

  • Able to complete an Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.

  • Experience in third-party management.

  • Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish.

  • State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California, etc).
