The team delivers reliable software solutions by integrating expertise in software development, DevOps, and solution design. Collaborating closely, members analyze requirements, design scalable architectures, and implement maintainable code using technologies like Spring Boot. Emphasizing quality through thorough testing and continuous integration, the team manages application maintenance, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting to meet business and technical objectives. Committed to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, the team fosters innovation and operational excellence in software engineering while aligning efforts with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.
• Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
• Conduct system design reviews to validate feasibility and ensure alignment with architectural best practices.
• Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components to support automation and multi-step reasoning.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence through documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and track success metrics using data-driven practices.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
• Strong experience in software development lifecycle management, encompassing coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in API design, software prototyping, and applying software design patterns for secure, modular, and maintainable solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical design reviews and remedial actions to uphold quality and alignment with architectural standards.
• Skilled in DevOps engineering practices to enhance developer productivity and platform tooling.
• Data-driven decision-making capabilities to define metrics and optimize engineering processes.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction to promote engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
• Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and experience supporting an inclusive culture through Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock for certain positions.
