About the role

We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead high-impact growth initiatives across our membership ecosystem at the intersection of strategy, experimentation, and execution. You will identify opportunities across acquisition, engagement, and retention; validate ideas through experimentation; and scale successful initiatives in partnership with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Data Science, Finance, and Operations. This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives in ambiguity and drives measurable outcomes through influence and operational rigor.

About the team

The product management team at Walmart and Sam’s Club leads strategy and execution for complex products that enhance retail and membership experiences. This team drives innovation through data-driven decisions and emerging technologies, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to develop product roadmaps aligned with business goals. Focused on continuous improvement, the team leverages insights and stakeholder engagement to accelerate growth and deliver measurable value. Joining this team offers the opportunity to contribute to transformative solutions impacting millions nationwide while advancing product strategy, project management, and stakeholder collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Growth: Lead cross-functional growth initiatives tied to membership goals. Identify and test opportunities across acquisition, engagement, retention, and loyalty. Turn priorities into roadmaps, success metrics, and scalable outcomes.
  • Lead Innovation: Incubate and validate new product and business opportunities. Use rapid experimentation to shape direction and de-risk decisions. Operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
  • Scale Experimentation: Build experimentation frameworks that improve speed, learning, and impact. Partner with analytics and data science to define metrics and act on insights. Scale winning experiments into durable product capabilities.
  • Lead Through Influence: Align teams around priorities, tradeoffs, and execution. Influence leaders and partners without direct authority. Communicate strategy and impact clearly to executives.

Requirements

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable business outcomes through experimentation, innovation, and execution.
  • Strong understanding of growth frameworks, including acquisition, activation, retention, engagement, lifecycle management, and experimentation.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and operational rigor.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and align teams across large organizations.
  • Familiarity with experimentation platforms, analytics tools, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in product management.
  • Option 2: 9 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 6 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products.
  • We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.

Benefits

  • Health benefits including medical, vision, and dental coverage.
