What You'll Do
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain:
- Tractors, trailers, yard trucks, service vehicles, and shop equipment
- Complete work orders and basic diagnostics using electronic tools
- Repair or replace engine, drivetrain, electrical, communication, onboard tech, and minor HVAC components
- Identify needed parts and recommend repair solutions
- Follow all safety, company, and DOT requirements
- Communicate clearly with associates, vendors, and customers
- Monitor fuel deliveries, collect samples, and complete required paperwork
- Identify warrantable repairs and accurately document condition, cause, and correction
- Process warranty tags and claims per company guidelines
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Brake inspection qualification (per FMCSA Section 396.25)
- Vehicle inspection qualification (per FMCSA Section 396.19)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years' experience in trailer inspection and mechanical repair
- Technical school level coursework in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance
- Both Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Department of Transportation (DOT) driver's certification
- 1 years’ experience in computer applications (for example, email, spreadsheets, word processing)
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are a plus — but we will sponsor you to earn them if you are looking to grow!
