(USA) Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician - Woodland, PA (3rd Shift)

About the role

Responsibilities

• Keep Walmart rolling by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of fleet equipment—from trailers and tractors to yard trucks and service vehicles.
• Diagnose and solve mechanical issues using your skills and company guidelines to ensure safe, efficient operations that meet DOT standards.
• Create and process work orders, select the best repair solutions, and keep accurate digital and written records.
• Collaborate and communicate with team members, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth service and timely updates.
• Tackle hands-on tasks like brake system repairs, tire installations, and seal replacements with precision and pride.

Requirements

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualification (per FMCSA Section 396.25).
• Vehicle inspection qualification (per FMCSA Section 396.19).

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Valid state-issued driver's license. Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25. Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.
• Preferred Qualifications: Technical school level coursework in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are a plus — but we will sponsor you to earn them if you are looking to grow!

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of DOT transportation regulations.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $28.80 - $32.30.
