(USA) Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician - HOPE MILLS, NC (2ND SHIFT)

What you'll do

• Performs basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements following company guidelines.
• Creates and processes work orders, assesses maintenance, repair, and replacement needs, identifies needed parts, and selects the best possible solutions.
• Conducts maintenance repairs and replacements, such as repairing and replacing brake system components like air, anti-skid, SCAM, ABS, disc brakes, and replacing leaky wheel seals.
• Dismounts/install tractor trailer tires and follows company and DOT guidelines and requirements.
• Communicates with individuals or groups, both verbally and in writing, and completes work order records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.

• The hourly wage range for this position is $28.05 - $31.55.
• Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
• Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Office ASE Certification.
• DOT Transportation Certification.
