(USA) Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance

About the role

Walmart is expanding its workforce and seeking a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. This role involves maintaining and repairing Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets to the highest standards while supporting a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and tools (hand tools, power tools, and other equipment).
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders supporting stores and associates.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required safety training to operate equipment and tools.

Requirements

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade, or 7 years' experience in one of these trades.
• 1 year's experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Comfortable moving up and down ladders frequently and working at heights.
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
