(USA) Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance

About the Role

Walmart is expanding its workforce and seeking a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. This role involves maintaining and repairing Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets to the highest standards, ensuring an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders supporting stores and associates.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required safety training to operate equipment and tools safely.

Requirements

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 7 years' experience in one of these trades.
• 1 year's experience using intermediate-level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Comfortable moving up and down ladders frequently and working at heights.

Preferred qualifications include experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, as well as prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
