Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable – Wireless owns end-to-end A/R performance across Walmart’s wireless business, driving financial integrity, operational efficiency, and revenue optimization at scale. This role leads financial reporting, internal controls, and complex carrier-facing operations while advancing AI-driven automation and analytics to transform how A/R delivers value. The position requires strong leadership, deep financial expertise, and the ability to resolve multi-million-dollar discrepancies with carriers while delivering reliable reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership. The Senior Manager partners cross-functionally across Finance, Technology, Merchandising, and external carriers to align financial strategies, mitigate risk, and support business growth.
About the team
The team oversees Wireless Accounts Receivable operations across Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Walmart Canada, managing revenue recognition, carrier reconciliations, dispute resolution, and financial reporting within a multi-carrier environment. They ensure accurate accounting and resolve discrepancies to protect margins while advancing workflows through AI and automation. Delivering actionable insights to leadership, the team collaborates cross-functionally to support compliance, carrier programs, and strategic initiatives. Positioned at the core of financial performance, the team combines accounting expertise, data analysis, and internal controls to drive scalable growth and sustained margin improvement.
What you'll do
Own Wireless A/R performance, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, reconciliation, and month-end close
Lead resolution of complex carrier discrepancies, disputes, and chargebacks
Drive AI-enabled automation to improve accuracy, scalability, and efficiency
Deliver reporting and insights that enable data-driven decisions and risk mitigation
Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and financial governance
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Technology, Merchandising, and carriers
Build and lead high-performing teams with clear accountability standards
Execute continuous improvement to reduce leakage and optimize cost
What you'll bring
Expertise in A/R, revenue recognition, and financial reporting in complex environments
Proven success leading large-scale operations and resolving external partner issues
Strong analytics, reporting, and automation experience; AI exposure preferred
Deep understanding of internal controls and compliance standards
Experience managing cross-functional and external relationships
Ability to translate data into actionable insights with measurable impact
Strong leadership track record in dynamic, high-performance environments
Minimum Qualifications
5 years' experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
