About the role

You will identify and resolve bottlenecks in advertising sales processes, build team knowledge, and demonstrate expertise in industry strategy across areas such as advertising, CTV, programmatic, and retail. Through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders—including Vice Presidents, general managers, agencies, and marketers—you will drive improvements in Walmart’s advertising sales performance.

You will develop strategies to meet sales targets beyond Walmart Connect’s owned and operated offerings by working cross-functionally with teams in Product Management, Platform, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Research, and Strategy. Providing data-driven insights to sales and product leadership, you will enable collaboration on revenue targets based on historical patterns and future forecasts.

As a leader, you will advise senior management on alternative methods for achieving strategic goals, analyze costs and forecasts for business planning, and support resource requirements. You will evaluate operational processes, measure outcomes, and identify improvement opportunities while fostering a customer-centric environment and continuous learning.

You will also cultivate a high-performing, engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps, recruiting and developing talent, supporting mentorship and succession planning, and leveraging existing talent. Promoting integrity and ethical standards, you will integrate these values into all programs and practices while supporting Walmart’s Open Door Policy.

Additionally, you will build internal and external partnerships to maximize business goals, lead community outreach initiatives, and drive associate engagement. Your leadership will focus on respecting individuals, acting with integrity, serving customers, and striving for excellence through innovation, adaptability, and resilience.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, advertising, consumer psychology, or a related field and 8 years of experience in advertising sales, advertising, sales, or a related area.
  • Option 2: 12 years of experience in advertising sales, advertising, sales, or a related area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in brand advertising (e.g., television or video, sponsorships), media sales, customer acquisition and growth, or mobile and online sales.
  • Experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Master’s degree in marketing, business, advertising, consumer psychology, or a related field.

Pay

  • Hoboken, New Jersey (US-10649): Annual salary range of $156,000 - $312,000.
  • Bentonville, Arkansas (US-30008): Annual salary range of $130,000 - $260,000.

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Certain positions may also include stock.
