(USA) Principal, Systems and Infrastructure Engineer, Information Security

About the role

The Principal Systems and Infrastructure Engineer for Information Security leads the design and implementation of secure, scalable architectures aligned with business and technology strategies. This role involves developing automation solutions, optimizing infrastructure performance, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal security tooling, dashboards, and automation solutions that support the OT/IoT security program
• Own end-to-end CI/CD pipeline architecture and operations for the team’s applications — including pipeline design, build automation, environment promotion, and release management
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that integrate security platforms (asset management, vulnerability tracking, compliance reporting) with enterprise data sources
• Define and enforce software development standards for the team: branching strategy, code review process, testing requirements, and deployment gates
• Collaborate with security analysts and engineers to translate operational needs into maintainable, production-quality software
• Provide technical mentorship to team members; drive adoption of engineering best practices

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of information systems security and infrastructure security principles
• Proficiency in Risk Management Framework and security risk and compliance review processes
• Strong experience with automation, scripting languages such as Python, and CI/CD pipelines
• Expertise in infrastructure maintenance, capacity management, and performance tuning
• Skilled in coding standards, software development tools, and telemetry implementation
• Proven capability to analyze requirements, prioritize solutions, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 5 years' experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
• Option 2: 7 years' experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC
• Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 3 years’ experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects

Pay and Schedule

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
