Position Summary
Provides evidence-based vision care to ensure patients' health and wellbeing by recommending and prescribing medications and other treatment options such as LASIK surgery, cataract surgery, and other treatments.
What you'll do...
- Delivers exceptional customer service through all patient interactions.
- Maintains and updates patient information in vision center systems in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner.
- Affords patients appropriate referrals to ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Follows up with patients and other healthcare professionals regarding outstanding diagnostics tests or other patient information as needed.
- Evaluates patients' health conditions across and within the full vision center scope of service, including visual acuity, visual function, and eye health, using comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic tests.
- Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce, including diagnosing capability gaps, recruiting, selecting, and developing talent, supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning.
- Works collaboratively, builds strong and trusting relationships, communicates with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence, and attracts and retains the best talent.
- Acts with integrity, maintains and promotes the highest standards of ethics and compliance, and acts in a selfless manner and is consistently humble, honest, fair, and transparent.

Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
- Licensed optometrist in good standing in the state of practice.
