Position Summary

Responsible for managing the lifecycle of assets, executing systematic methods for asset upgrades, and leveraging data science techniques to optimize operations.

What you'll do...

  • Execute systematic methods for effectively operating and upgrading assets.
  • Create status and management reports such as exceptions or on-demand materials.
  • Record the acquisition, sales, and disposal of supply chain related assets using inventory procedures and software tools.
  • Leverage data to determine the root cause of problems and implement solutions.
  • Identify and propose ways to automate and improve existing processes using technology like RPA, AI, and machine learning.
  • Emerge process issues between cross-functional groups through data and reporting.
  • Manage scheduling and reporting of fleet, ensuring budget for fleet availability from different channels.
  • Manage fleet maintenance and carrier quality from multiple third-party logistics providers and different vehicle categories.
  • Monitor processes within a given business unit, initiate cross-functional investigations, and implement process changes.
  • Use transport operation documents to manage operational flow for different load carriers and categories of goods.
  • Analyze capacity of distribution systems and ensure optimal vehicle utilization based on network requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to identify and implement innovative ideas, monitor supplier performance, and resolve complex vendor issues.
  • Teach Associates in the area of responsibility how to handle and respond to community partner questions and concerns regarding PSP sustainability values and efforts.
  • Support the grass roots process, implement action plans, and track Associate Opinion Survey results.
  • Provide advice and guidance on behaviors and actions consistent with PSP sustainability values and goals.
  • Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities.

Sustainability

  • Communicates PSP sustainability values and goals to Associates.
  • Implements processes and practices to improve social, economic, and environmental practices.
  • Trains Associates on handling and responding to community partner questions and concerns regarding PSP sustainability values and efforts.

Associate Engagement

  • Ensures Associates understand and participate in the grass roots process year-round.
  • Implements programs designed to support and enhance Associate health and wellbeing.
  • Encourages and rewards Associate engagement behaviors that contribute to the achievement of Facility and own goals.
  • Promotes the importance and value of Associate engagement by implementing processes and practices designed to improve engagement and enhance operations.
