(USA) O/N Merchandising Lead
About the role
Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, offering guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
Assists management with supervising associates by assigning duties, communicating goals, training on processes, providing direction on member service approaches, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and evaluating associates.
Responsibilities
- Receive and stock supplies and merchandise; organize and maintain the sales floor using equipment and completing required documentation.
- Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following procedures for forklift spotting and hazardous materials handling, and reporting unsafe situations.
- Ensure sales floor and merchandise presentation compliance by handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking, arranging merchandise, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile items.
- Monitor food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, recalls, and sanitation standards; stock, zone, and clean all departments.
- Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining business priorities, coordinating work assignments, and providing feedback.
- Oversee the picking and staging of club pickup orders according to company policies.
- Develop and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with stakeholders, analyzing information, and addressing improvement opportunities.
- Promote compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and integrity by guiding and demonstrating proper application, using the Open Door Policy, and assisting with issue resolution.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a team, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workloads.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $24.00 to $32.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
