Position Summary
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources. Collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners. Identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations. Carries out tasks, communicates progress and information, determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback.
What you'll do...
- Manages freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment such as single and double pallet jacks, lift trucks, and pacer. Identifies, counts, separates, combines, and scans freight. Utilizes warehouse management systems, terminal scales, and scanners. Maintains records, logs, and forms.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Implements related action plans. Uses the Open Door Policy. Applies these in executing business processes and practices.
- Keeps work area organized and maintains freight flow by stacking empty pallets and moving empty pallets using a pallet jack and/or powered equipment.
- Maintains cold chain and species compliance by monitoring freight.
