About the role
The (USA) Manager, Transportation Maintenance oversees regulatory compliance and the execution of preventive fleet maintenance programs to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This role involves managing budgets, analyzing maintenance costs, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with internal teams and external authorities.
What you'll do
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, laws, and regulations related to transportation maintenance by partnering with subject matter experts and regulatory authorities.
- Develop, update, and communicate maintenance operating procedures and regulatory compliance programs to regional teams.
- Manage preventive fleet maintenance programs, including safety audits, equipment lifecycle cost analysis, and implementation of green technologies.
- Oversight regional capital and operational budgets, controlling expenditures and warranty recoveries.
- Lead business plans and projects by setting priorities, removing obstacles, and measuring performance.
- Supervise, train, and develop associates, fostering a team-based work environment and conducting performance evaluations.
About the team
The Parts team oversees procurement, inventory, and supplier programs to support fleet maintenance operations efficiently. They manage sourcing, SKU standardization, supplier consolidation, and inventory controls, ensuring parts availability at optimal costs. By supporting field locations with ordering, stocking, and distribution, the team enhances operational reliability across the network. Utilizing centralized processes and data-driven insights, they drive cost efficiency and improve inventory accuracy. This collaborative team plays a key role in maintaining smooth fleet operations and contributes to the overall success of transportation maintenance management.
What you'll bring
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance related to transportation maintenance, including DOT, EPA, and OSHA requirements.
- Proven experience managing preventive fleet maintenance programs and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong skills in profit and loss management, budget oversight, and warranty recovery processes.
- Ability to develop and lead training programs ensuring adherence to policies and safety standards.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on team development, performance management, and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in analyzing maintenance lifecycle costs and driving cost-effective solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 3 years’ experience in fleet maintenance or related area OR 5 years’ experience in fleet maintenance or related area.
