About the role

The Manager, Site Merchandising leads the design and execution of site strategies to optimize product displays, navigation, and customer engagement across multiple departments. About the team

The Campaigns and Events team leads enterprise-wide event strategy and execution, enhancing traffic, brand awareness, and revenue through key moments such as Deals events on Walmart.com. This team collaborates across functions to design and implement effective site merchandising strategies, leveraging customer analytics and market research to optimize site layouts and promotional campaigns. They drive business growth by influencing stakeholders, managing category strategies, and delivering data-driven insights. The team values clear communication, strategic planning, and continuous improvement to create engaging customer experiences and support Walmart’s business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize site merchandising for assigned departments by designing traffic plans, product layouts, and featured displays to drive customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to enhance site navigation and search strategies, leveraging customer insights and analytics.
  • Analyze market data and customer behavior to inform category strategies and recommend site improvements.
  • Prepare and present clear, data-driven reports and recommendations to influence business decisions.
  • Manage campaign launches, coordinating resources and evaluating promotional effectiveness.
  • Lead and develop team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and uphold high standards of integrity and communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in merchandising, visual design, business management, or related area and 3 years’ experience in eCommerce merchandising, UI/UX, interactive and visual design, business management, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in eCommerce merchandising, UI/UX, interactive and visual design, business management, or related area.

Skills

  • Proven expertise in site merchandising, including site navigation, visual merchandising, and use of administrative tools such as Tempo and Tango.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in customer analytics, market research, and data-driven decision making to inform site and category strategies.
  • Ability to develop and execute category strategies and business plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to collaborate cross-functionally and present complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools and web analytics to measure site performance and campaign effectiveness.
  • Experience managing partnerships and driving strategic initiatives through stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated leadership in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to achieve business results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Merchandising, Visual Design, Business Management, or related area.
  • Advanced experience in eCommerce merchandising, UI/UX, interactive and visual design, or business management.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock for certain positions.
