Position Summary
The Group Director, Fashion Design- Kids, Baby, Infant, Toddler (KBIT) leads the development and execution of innovative, trend-driven design strategies that align with brand vision and market demands. This role oversees seasonal collections, ensuring high-quality product narratives and prototypes that resonate with customers while advancing industry standards. By integrating market insights, technology, and cross-functional collaboration, the director drives design excellence, operational efficiency, and brand consistency across multiple product channels. This position champions continuous improvement and strategic innovation to deliver commercially viable, customer-focused fashion solutions that uphold the company’s commitment to quality and value.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and execution of seasonal fashion design strategies aligned with brand vision and market trends.
- Oversee creation of high-quality sketches, illustrations, and prototypes to ensure product excellence and innovation.
- Drive integration of advanced design technologies and tools to enhance workflow efficiency and product accuracy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align design initiatives with merchandising, marketing, and sourcing strategies.
- Utilize market insights and customer data to inform trend forecasting and product development decisions.
- Foster continuous improvement in design processes, promoting scalability and cost-effectiveness.
- Guide and mentor design teams to achieve creative and operational objectives.
What you'll bring
- Extensive expertise in fashion design principles, including visual communication, sketching, illustration, and fit concepts.
- Strong knowledge of color theory, print execution, fabric selection, and prototype development processes.
- Proven ability to set brand vision and lead seasonal design concepts aligned with business objectives.
- Experience driving innovation in materials and design fit strategies across multiple brands and categories.
- Proficiency with design enablement tools such as PLM, CAD, 3D modeling, and AI-enhanced systems.
- Skilled in integrating market trends, customer insights, into commercially viable product strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and advancing design operations through process improvements.
- Able to influence senior leadership and external partners with compelling product narratives.

- The annual salary range for this position is $234,000.00 - $444,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
- Additional compensation for certain positions may also include : Stock
Minimum Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, textile design, or related area and 13 years’ experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area.
- Option 2: 15 years’ experience in apparel design, garment construction, or related area. 10 years’ supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to shape long-term creative vision and design culture.
