About the Role
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates while touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, provides clear expectations, and guides implementation of business solutions while communicating business objectives to teams.
Responsibilities
- Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Manages and supports customer service initiatives, such as store of the community and community outreach programs.
- Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved; develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies.
- Provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
- Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
- Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and setting clear expectations.
- Promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace and recruits qualified associates to meet staffing needs.
- Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs.
- Identifies and communicates goals, measures progress, and addresses improvement opportunities.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Implements related action plans and supports the Open Door Policy.

Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of college; OR
- 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR
- 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- Associates must attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Regional Pay Zone (RPZ), Complex Structure, and state pay differentials may apply where applicable.
