Position Summary

TourToTeach, driving financial performance, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supervising and developing associates.

What you'll do...

• Teaches and develops teams by providing training and feedback.
• Collaborates with all levels of associates to manage store operations.
• Communicates and implements business solutions.
• Manages and assists in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
• Reviews and evaluates PL Profit Loss statements.
• Ensures customer needs are met and issues are resolved.
• Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies.
• Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
• Supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and Community Outreach Programs.
• Supervises and develops hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
• Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments.
• Hires, trains, mentors, assigns duties, provides recognition, and promotes a belonging mindset for associates.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Works collaboratively, builds strong relationships, communicates with impact, and motivates and influences others.
• Attracts and retains the best talent, empowers and develops talent, and recognizes others' contributions and accomplishments.

• Requires 2 years of college, 1 year of retail experience and supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience and supervisory experience.
• For facilities selling firearms, requires successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
• For facilities selling only ammunition, may require a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility.
• Associates must attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.
• Minimum qualifications include 2 years of college, 1 year of retail experience and supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience and supervisory experience.
• Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, general work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, and responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

  • Annual salary range: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00.
  • Additional compensation for certain positions may include regional pay zone (RPZ) (based on location) and complex structure (based on external factors that create challenges).
  • Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

  Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years’ of college; OR
  • 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR
  • 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
