(USA) Front End Coach
About the role
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates while touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, provides clear expectations, and guides teams to implement business solutions while communicating business objectives effectively.
Responsibilities
- Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives (e.g., Store of the Community, community outreach programs), ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved, developing action plans to correct deficiencies, and providing process improvement leadership for a high-quality customer experience.
- Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses to align with sales, monitoring merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, and developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
- Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals, measuring progress, addressing improvement opportunities, and promoting continuous learning.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing guidance on applying these in business processes.
- Builds high-performing teams by embracing differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences, fostering a culture of belonging, and creating opportunities for associates to thrive.

Requirements
- 2 years of college; OR
- 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR
- 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses, Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments, state pay differentials (where applicable), and complex structure adjustments based on external challenges.
