(USA) Developmental Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC Maintenance

About the Role

Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting Developmental Technicians specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance. Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment)
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Follow established schedules and guidelines, performing inspections, cleaning, and repairs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling

Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Excellent driving record
• Experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls (preferred)

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 - $28.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
