Our team develops advanced digital experiences for Walmart Business, enabling businesses to efficiently discover and purchase products via the website and app. We focus on business-specific solutions such as customer onboarding, verification, business identity, inventory discovery, and personalized shopping journeys. Leveraging AI, data, and scalable engineering, we create intelligent experiences that enhance product discovery and drive qualified traffic through innovative GenAI search and citation engines. This team is dedicated to solving complex customer challenges at scale and shaping the future of AI-powered commerce in B2B environments.
Responsibilities
- Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to develop and refine analytical models that address complex business challenges.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature selection, and hypothesis testing to generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and model deployments.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and management standards are maintained throughout the data lifecycle.
- Develop, test, and optimize code using SQL, Python, and other programming languages to support data pipelines and model integration.
- Mentor junior associates on analytical methods and best practices.
- Communicate findings through effective data visualization and storytelling to influence business decisions.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in data management and data quality within complex ecosystems.
- Advanced proficiency in statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and analytical modeling techniques including Bayesian inference and neural networks.
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and R, with experience in code development, testing, and model deployment.
- Ability to conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and performance modeling to deliver actionable business insights.
- Experience with big data tools such as Apache Spark for scalable model development.
- Solid understanding of business requirements and domain knowledge across multiple functions to translate problems into data-driven solutions.
- Capability to mentor junior associates and communicate complex data findings effectively using advanced visualization tools.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
- Option 2: Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Option 3: 4 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data science, machine learning, optimization models.
- Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Econometrics.
- Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
- Using open source frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

You will also receive PTO and/or PPTO that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes. The amount depends on your job classification and length of employment and will meet or exceed the requirements of paid sick leave laws, where applicable.
Pay
- Bentonville, Arkansas: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $180,000.
- Sunnyvale, California: The annual salary range for this position is $117,000 - $234,000.
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.
