(USA) Coach/Ops Mgr Trainee
Leads and develops teams by coaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Conducts store tours to provide feedback, communicate operational priorities, and collaborate across all levels regarding store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides teams to implement business solutions while effectively communicating objectives.
Responsibilities
- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Manage and support customer service initiatives, such as Store of the Community and outreach programs.
- Resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues; develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies.
- Provide process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
- Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Monitor and ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
- Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Supervise and develop hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and providing recognition.
- Promote a belonging mindset in the workplace and recruit qualified associates to meet staffing needs.
- Coordinate and oversee job-related activities, build relationships with stakeholders, and support initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Implement action plans related to the Open Door Policy and provide guidance on applying these in business processes.

Requirements
- 2 years of college; OR
- 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR
- 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities that sell only ammunition with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional differentials may apply, such as Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) or state-specific pay differentials where applicable.
