(USA) Assistant General Manager (Grocery - Full & MDC)
Position Summary
As an Assistant General Manager (AGM) in a Walmart Grocery Distribution Center, you’ll play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality distribution operations. You will lead through Walmart’s values while delivering results that support our customers, associates, and communities.
What You’ll Do
Drive Operational Excellence
Lead the execution of business plans to achieve facility goals related to production, quality, safety, and service.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.
Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to ensure consistent execution.
Plan and Deliver Workforce Results
Forecast staffing needs based on workload and business demand.
Monitor productivity and performance outcomes and adjust staffing plans as needed.
Ensure teams are positioned to meet operational goals and service expectations.Manage Financial Performance
Oversee budget adherence by tracking expenses and optimizing resource utilization.
Analyze business reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Drive cost-effective decisions while maintaining operational excellence.Solve Problems & Drive Resolution
Address associate, customer, and supplier concerns with sound judgment.
Partner cross-functionally when needed to resolve complex issues.
Foster a solutions-oriented environment that prioritizes service and accountability.Lead and Develop Teams

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 2 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide
OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates
OR 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics /retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Logistics, Management, or Operations Management
