About the Role

This position involves overseeing operations within a logistics environment, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity while developing and managing a team of associates and leaders. You will implement business plans, monitor systems operations, and foster a culture of respect, integrity, and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Maintain quality and safety standards by:
    • Ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Monitoring associate compliance with policies and procedures.
    • Distributing and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Supervise and develop associates and leaders by:
    • Assigning duties and coordinating workloads.
    • Monitoring performance and providing feedback.
    • Teaching, supporting, and modeling Logistics and company policies.
    • Identifying training and development needs.
    • Participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates and leaders.
  • Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
  • Identify associate, customer, and supplier concerns, and determine corrective actions or recommendations.
  • Implement the business plan by:
    • Communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling.
    • Assigning duties and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety).
  • Manage Systems Operations by:
    • Demonstrating and communicating solid working knowledge of systems and procedures.
    • Ensuring associates adhere to company policies, standards, and procedures related to systems operations.
    • Helping associates understand and use procedures for systems operations, handling accidents and emergencies, and maintaining safe and functional equipment.
    • Identifying and responding to customer compliance and operational issues, taking steps to prevent recurrence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Information Systems, Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management), OR
  • Associate’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Information Systems, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics) and 1 year of experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees, OR
  • 1 year of experience as a Walmart Logistics supervisor or manager; supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates, OR
  • 3 years of experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees, OR
  • 3 years of experience in an Information Systems environment maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems (e.g., networks, computer hardware and software).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Information Systems, Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management) and 1 year of experience as a supervisor or manager in an information systems environment (e.g., networks, computer hardware and software) supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees.
  • Experience as a supervisor or manager in an information systems environment maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems (e.g., networks, computer hardware and software) while supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees.
  • Experience working with Walmart Logistics applications (e.g., Global Logistics Systems (GLS), Trailer Manifest System (TMS), Global Distribution Systems (GDS), IBM CICS (Host)).

PTO and/or PPTO (Protected Paid Time Off) can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes. The amount received depends on job classification and length of employment and meets or exceeds paid sick leave laws where applicable.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $65,500.00 - $98,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses, Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments based on location, and stock.
