(USA) Area Manager Asset Protection - All DC/FC

About the role

Sam's Club seeks an individual who possesses a comprehensive understanding of various operational, environmental, and security aspects, along with excellent communication and risk management skills. This position requires a deep understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks, as well as the ability to drive continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Articulate the levers influencing data and ensure data quality.
• Develop and implement technology changes across multiple processes.
• Evaluate air, water, and waste pollution and prepare audit reports.
• Support regulatory visits and assist in pollution control and management.
• Integrate environmental considerations into process design and manage compliance.
• Participate in developing and implementing environmental policies and practices.
• Operate commonly used tools and equipment for evaluating environmental factors.
• Manage OSHA inspections, ensure safety equipment is operational, and maintain health and safety records.
• Support project activities and updates, solve simple business issues, and participate in root cause analysis.
• Implement internal and external audit requirements and validate claim records.
• Work with specific tools for theft prevention, investigate security breaches, and report findings.
• Ensure compliance with asset protection policies and guidelines, environmental health and safety laws, and regulations.
• Support training programs, manage feedback, and utilize organizational training lifecycles.
• Conduct risk assessments, document risk management processes, and implement risk management for assigned areas.
• Identify process problems, focus on significant issues, and implement methods for improving critical processes.
• Provide coaching and develop process improvement skills, lead incident investigations, and provide countermeasures.
• Ensure proper completion of transportation-related documents and comply with DOT, FMCSA, PHMSA, and state regulations.
• Evaluate employee risk awareness and train employees as needed.
• Monitor performance metrics and reviews accident files for accuracy.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Experience in data management, environmental compliance, and risk management is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
