US Senior Reporter
About the role
The Daily Mail is looking for a Senior Reporter to work on some of the biggest and most widely read news stories in the country.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of the company’s rapidly growing subscription service, DailyMail+, the home of our most premium journalism.
Person Specification
- Proven track record of delivering high-impact exclusives
- At least five years’ experience at a major news organization
- Comfortable covering crime, scandals, investigations and major social issues
- Adept at juggling fast-moving daily projects alongside longer-term investigations
- Exceptional newsgathering, interviewing and writing skills
- Strong understanding of the Daily Mail brand and its audience
- Ability to pitch original, agenda-setting stories that resonate with readers, drive conversation and grow our reach in the US
- Thrives in a fast-paced newsroom environment
- Deep network of sources
- Works to tight deadlines and relishes chasing ambitious targets
Salary & Benefits
We offer a competitive salary package in the range of $110,000- $120,000 depending on experience, excellent staff benefits (healthcare, optical, dental, 401K) and a generous PTO allowance.
Other Information
Daily Mail is a 24-hour newsroom and operates a seven-day working week, in office. Applicants will be required to cover a variety of shifts during the operational hours of the newsroom (daily from 6am through 2am).
