US Patriot Seamstress/Tailor

About the role

As a Tailor/Seamstress (Production Associate) at US Patriot/Galls, you will be hands-on altering and providing exceptional customer service to our soldiers and airmen. You will ensure all measurements and fittings are done properly, accurately, and efficiently – so that they can wear that uniform proudly.

Responsibilities

• Read and accurately identify the customer’s needs per the Work Instruction Document
• Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations, with the ability to problem-solve individual sizing issues
• Perform uniform sewing, alterations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency, including taking up the stride, lengthening/shortening tails on shirts, tapering shirts, adjusting waists, hemming trousers, mending tears, replacing zippers, applying patches, applying name strips, applying striping, and applying patches
• Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience in Alterations preferred
• Ability to effectively read/receive work instructions in English
• Extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused – you’re not happy with mistakes
• Solid communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stretch, twist, and lift, with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Skills

• Industrial Sewing machines, preferred – GALLS will train!
