What You Will Do

• Read and accurately identify customer needs according to the Work Instruction Document.
• Take measurements and mark garments for alterations, using problem-solving skills to address individual sizing issues.
• Perform uniform sewing, alterations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency, including:
• Adjusting shirt lengths and tails, tapering shirts, and modifying waists.
• Hemming trousers, mending tears, and replacing zippers.
• Applying patches, name strips, and striping.
• Operate industrial sewing machinery in a safe and proper manner.
• Ensure high-quality, accurate work while meeting daily production and performance expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

What You Will Bring

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in alterations, or equivalent trade/technical training or coursework.
• Proficiency with commercial and industrial sewing equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions in English.
• Extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused; you notice mistakes and correct them.
• Strong visual acuity and hand dexterity, with the ability to see fine details and perform precise sewing tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods and perform tasks requiring bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
