US Mortgage Bond Trading - Vice President
Our Americas Rates Trading team is seeking a Vice President-level trader for USD-denominated rates products, based in New York City.
About the role
You will market-make US dollar (USD) related bond products, with a focus on Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities, as part of our expanding franchise in coordination with our New York and global Sales & Trading teams. You will collaborate with local and global Sales & Trading colleagues to serve clients worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Interpret market trends and identify, communicate, and market trade ideas
- Operate effectively in a high-paced, high-pressure environment
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities
- Engage closely with rates and credit trading groups
- Partner with our distribution team to expand our franchise with key clients such as US government agencies and cash investors
- Work with risk and control partners to maintain a controlled operating environment
Requirements
- Deep understanding of the Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities asset class
- Proven track record in revenue generation and sustaining high-quality market share
- Strong risk management and quantitative skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of capital and regulatory matters in Over-The-Counter (cash/derivatives) and Listed (futures) products
- Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows, and solve business problems while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

Pay
The salary range for this position in New York City is $180,000 to $250,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including skill set, experience, education, work location, and other qualifications. The posted range does not include incentive compensation or other remuneration.
Schedule
This role follows the Bank’s hybrid working model, with an expectation to work in the New York office.
