About the role

The US Federal Growth Leader position is focused primarily on Stantec's US West geography. We welcome candidates nationwide and those located in the US West geography to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide capture leadership on multiple federal opportunities to include go/no go leadership, sales budget planning, strategy and win theme development, risk reviews, and proposal support.
  • Develop and execute detailed capture plans to win specific opportunities.
  • Develop collaborative working relationships between account managers and our marketing teams that result in delivery of high-quality proposals.
  • Develop high performing networks of internal and external relationships to expand strategic teaming.
  • Participate in US Federal Strategic Planning representing major funded government programs with the US Federal Team and implement resulting related strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and implement "win" strategies, including client contact, proposal preparation, and preparation of and participation in client interviews.
  • Conduct go/no-go assessments to determine the feasibility of pursuing opportunities.

  • Contribute to the vision and play a key role in supporting the growth of the federal sector.
  • Make decisions using critical thinking, good business sense, and organizational values to make collaborative decisions involving varying levels of risk and ambiguity.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Provide effective capture leadership and business development guidance to Stantec’s federal account managers and federal BOU liaisons.

Capabilities and Credentials

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a deep understanding of the US federal marketplace and service offerings in the A/E industry and major funding programs and appropriations.
  • Has superb client relationship skills and a proven record in winning major A/E type contracts (Brooks Act-SF 330’s) and/or other major program contracts including Design Build.
  • Has proven and demonstratable skills in relationship building, management, influencing change, negotiation and business development.
  • Can translate visionary guidance into strategic planning and tactical execution.
  • Has an ability to both lead and support initiatives and growth within a collaborative framework and operate as a team player that leads by example.
  • Led high-value pursuits/proposals, consistently driving superior outcomes.
  • Has advanced communication skills including verbal, written and presentation with the ability to influence, engage stakeholders and foster collaboration across internal and external partners.
  • Is adaptable, thriving in dynamic environments, embracing change, advancing continuous improvement initiatives, leading teams through dynamic, fast-paced environments by maintaining pursuit focus that drives wins/results and remaining flexible and resilient.
  • Has a strong desire to succeed, remains enthusiastic, and possesses the highest degree of integrity.
  • Has the ability to travel across the US as needed (~40-50%).

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 15 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in the US Federal market with multiple Federal agencies, and existing client relationships within those agencies.

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay range: $177,500.00 - $275,200.00 Annually for locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas.
  • $190,500.00 - $295,200.00 Annually for locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas.
  • $203,400.00 - $315,300.00 Annually for locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP).
