Position: US Contract Attorney — Federal Litigation Type: Contract Compensation: $100–$120/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 30–40 hours total Role Responsibilities Evaluate motion briefs by reading two for the same case and selecting the stronger one with clear reasoning.Score each brief on defined quality dimensions to ensure high standards.Annotate brief PDFs inline, flagging legal, factual, citation, and drafting errors.Complete all reviews as per requirements to maintain consistency.Attend a short onboarding session before kickoff to align with project goals. Qualifications Must-Have Active bar membership in at least one US state.3+ years of US litigation practice with substantial federal court experience.Experience drafting or opposing motions in federal court.J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.Clear writing skills and attention to detail. Preferred 2+ years of experience at an AmLaw 100 firm.Prior work on legal AI projects with Mercor.Experience in data annotation, AI evaluation, or legal-benchmarking.
