US CITIZEN ONLY System Safety Engineer – Multiple Levels - ONSITE

Position: System Safety Engineer II / Senior / Principal Locations: Tewksbury, Woburn, or Marlborough, MA Shift: 1st Shift Duration: 12-Month Contract with Potential Extension Employment: W2 Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required Clearance: Must be able to obtain a security clearance; candidates may start while clearance is pending. Position Overview TriSpoke Managed Services is seeking qualified System Safety Engineers for multiple opportunities supporting advanced aerospace and defense programs. These positions will focus on system safety engineering, hazard analysis, safety requirements, and compliance with MIL-STD-882E. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant System Safety Programs. Perform System Safety Program tasks across management, analysis, evaluation, and verification. Conduct hazard analyses, safety assessments, and design analyses. Analyze mechanical/electrical drawings, schematics, hardware, and system architectures for hazards, fault tolerance, and safety compliance. Develop concise, testable safety requirements and safety controls. Review system requirements, customer specifications, military standards, and technical documentation. Evaluate test, tactical operation, and maintenance procedures to ensure appropriate safety controls are established. Work collaboratively with Systems, Software/Firmware, Electrical, Hardware, and other engineering teams. Identify, eliminate, and mitigate hazards while maintaining critical system performance. Prepare Safety Assessment Reports, Safety Program Briefs, and technical reports. Present safety considerations during technical reviews and safety approval processes. Collaborate with customers, program offices, subcontractors, vendors, and government approval authorities. Support System Safety activities throughout the product lifecycle, from development through production and disposal. Senior/Principal-level engineers may lead System Safety Working Groups, monitor technical execution, and mentor junior engineers. Qualifications Experience with System Safety Engineering in aerospace, defense, or other complex engineering environments Strong knowledge of MIL-STD-882 / MIL-STD-882E. Experience with hazard analysis, safety requirements, risk assessment, and system safety processes. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, system requirements, and technical specifications. Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Strong technical documentation, communication, and presentation skills. U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain a security clearance.
