Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in QuickBooks
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
- Prepare financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for leadership review
- Track donations, grants, and ministry expenses
- Auxiliary with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records
- Communicate proactively with the team regarding discrepancies or outstanding items
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of bookkeeping experience with US-based companies/clients
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
- Strong understanding of US bookkeeping practices and terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup
Nice to Have
- Experience with nonprofit or ministry bookkeeping/fund accounting
- Familiarity with donor management or CRM tools
- QuickBooks certification
